The Red White Red card is created after the US Green Card and called after colors in the national flag of Austria. It gives points to migrants depends on their age, educational background, work experience, and proficiency in the German language.
The R.W.R Card model intends to make the immigration system further efficient particularly to the third-country workforce that is eligible, along with their families who aspire to settle in Austria permanently, as per the labor market and personal requirements.
The Interior Ministry tries to provide 8,000 Red-White-Red cards every year; however, the whole immigration limit will continue intact.
Around 35,000 migrants visit Austria yearly to live permanently in Austria out of which 33 percent people come to stay with their members of the family who are Austrian permanent residents.
The new regulations were executed on 1st July 2011.
