Federal Skilled Trades Class (F.S.T.C) appeals are evaluated based on a candidates ability to enhance economically stabilized upon Canadian immigration.

Eligible applicants for the Federal Skilled Trades Program should make an E.O.I in migrating to Canada by the selection system of Express Entry for Canada Immigration.

The F.S.T.C permits candidates with job offers or relevant certification to work in specific professions to get Canada PR in any Canadian territory or province excluding Quebec.

Eligibility Criteria

To suit for a Canadian Immigration that is for PR Visa, F.S.T.C candidates need to:

  • Have employment offers from up to two organizations in Canada of minimum one-year duration or a Qualification Certificate from a territorial or provincial body;
  • Present evidence of basic proficiency of language from a preferred language testing organization, showing that the candidate satisfies the least threshold fixed by the Minister — C.L.B 5 for listening and speaking, C.L.B 4 for writing and reading;
  • Have obtained two years of work experience which is full-time  (or an equivalent amount of work experience which is part-time)  in the skilled trade within five years prior to applying;
  • Can show the experience and skills and that they have shown the primary duties of the profession.

F.S.T.C candidates should plan to live outside the Quebec province. The province of Quebec chooses its skilled workers by a novel immigration system. If the proposed candidates plan on residing in Quebec, know more about the Quebec Skilled Worker Program.

Federal Skilled Trades Class and Express Entry

The F.S.T.C is one of the 03 programs operated by the Canadian Government  Express Entry system. It means that to start the process for Canada Immigration as a trades person should first create an online Express Entry profile to receive a C.R.S score and become ranked next to other applicants in the pool of Express Entry.
